Earning $RIFT
$RIFT can only be earnt through active achievements in game or via community grants for contributions to the game ecosystem.
Player Rewards
Commencing at game launch, every two weeks a variable amount of $RIFT is divided amongst players who have met certain gameplay achievements over the preceding two weeks. Free-to-play and “classic” (non-NFT) accounts are not eligible for player rewards.
Gameplay achievement points will be subject to all the anti-farming measures discussed in "Sustainability Measures" including:
Yield relative to enemy difficulty
Randomisation of enemy locations
Time and class-sensitive yield bonuses
Paywall (only paid NFT accounts can earn this resource)
Level requirements (only accounts over level 5 can earn this resource)
Time sickness
The issuance of $RIFT to each individual qualifying player is proportional to the achievement points that player accumulated relative to other qualifying players, and after taking account of the play & stake multiplier.
In total, 50% of the token supply will be issued via player rewards.
Stake & Play Multiplier
If a player has met all gameplay achievements and also staked the minimum rewards threshold amount of the token, they will receive double the amount of new token that would otherwise be issued to them that two-week period.
Community Fund
15% of token allocation is held in a discretionary pool and may be distributed by the game developers on a discretionary basis to reward activities by third parties that provide significant benefit to the game ecosystem, including but not limited to:
Referrals programs
User generated content rewards
3rd party developers
Competitions
Community Fund grants can include locked or immediately unlocked tokens.
